First ROVA Leadership Camp
| The first District 7280 ROVA Leadership Camp was held on March 14-15, 2004, at the McKeever Environmental Learning Center in Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania. Eighty-three students from 15 of the district’s vocational schools participated. The students were sponsored by 39 of the district’s 45 Rotary Clubs. Fred Kiser and Barry Balaski of Greenville, Pennsylvania, conducted the leadership camp. Fourteen vocational school staff members volunteered as chaperones. |

ROVA 2005 Leadership Camp |
The second annual ROVA (Rotary Outstanding Vocational Award) is now history. As was the case last year, it was a success. We had 94 students registered from 42 of our 45 clubs.Every club who sponsored students should be congratulated for doing so. This is a program that gives recognition to students who otherwise would not receive any notice. These are the students who will make our everyday lives better because of the skills they are acquiring. We are already planning our program for next year. Please keep this in mind as you plan your budgets. The cost will remain at $100 per student for an overnight event. We are looking into other venues due to the full schedule of The McKeever Environmental Learning Center. |
