 Celebrating Making Dreams Real

Joint District Conference – May 14-17, 2009

“Peace Through Service”

The Rotary year 2008-2009 is in its final stretch.  It is time to gather and assess what makes us Rotarians.  This year we join with District 7300, and together we have arranged outstanding programming worthy of your time.  We welcome RIP D. K. Lee’s personal representative, Past Director, RI, Mike McCullough and his wife, Sherry, to northwestern Pennsylvania.  Rotary International Director Mike Johns has also accepted our invitation to join the celebration.  Sharing our successes, building fellowships, learning about Rotary themes, vision, and actions taken to grow membership, foundation; building on the avenues of service, polio eradication, and making dreams real… learning and having fun… this is what we will all be about.  What we do in Rotary makes a difference.  The cumulative good work of Rotary International brings hope and a better future to humanity… and through this service to mankind, peace.  Yes, we have much to celebrate!  Please join the many Rotarians from your District 7280, as well as District 7300 Pittsburgh, to share stories and share this time of common growth.  Experience the great speakers, great food, a broad range of activities, and outstanding fellowship amidst a spectacular location on the water.  Please, come join the celebration.  The attached information will tell you what is offered and how to participate.  Arlene and I hope to see you there, “sitting on the dock of the Bay.”

Long a tradition with our District 7280, we are again encouraging each Club to provide a “basket of your community” full of items that identify with your area.  Every District 7280 Rotarian attending the conference will receive a number with their registration materials.  Baskets will be displayed Friday and numbers will be drawn for each basket Saturday, awarding each to a lucky Rotarian who will learn a bit more about a neighboring club as they dismantle their prize.  Make sure your club brings a basket!

Please review the information below and make your plans NOW to attend.
