Christopher M Knoll is the Executive Vice President and Market Manager for both Corporate & Institutional Banking and Commercial Business Banking for the PNC Financial Services Group in Northwestern PA.  In this position, he is responsible for leading the bank’s commercial sales development & business growth in the region.  Chris joined PNC in 1985 after seven years experience in Middle Market banking in Pittsburgh, PA and Dallas, TX. 

A native of Erie, PA. USA, Chris is a 1973 graduate of Cathedral Preparatory School.  He obtained his B.S. Management Degree in 1977 and M.B.A. in Business Administration in 1978 from Gannon University, and has completed numerous professional development programs. 

Chris’s Rotary experience of over 17 years with the Erie Rotary Club, includes serving as President in 2002-2003; 6 years on the Scholarship Foundation Board, Board Director, Vice Chair, Programs Director, he planned the itinerary and hosted the GSE French team in 2003, coordinated the Polio Plus Campaign for the 6 clubs in Erie County in 2002-2003, and he and his wife are very active in a Rotary Golf Fellowship Exchange with District 1010 Scotland, having hosted twice and traveled to Scotland.  He also served as an Assistant Governor in 2006-2007.

In service to his community, Chris serves on the Boards of the French Creek Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the Board of Trustees of Hamot Health System & its Planning Committee, the Executive Board of the Council of Fellows of Penn-State Erie where he serves on the Entrepreneurial Advisory Board & is a guest lecturer to the Business School Masters Program.  He serves on several committees of the United Way of Erie County following service of 7 years on its Board; he is the Vice Chairman/Treasurer of the Ben Franklin Center of Excellence for E-Business & Information Technology Inc.; he serves as Vice Chairman of the Economic Development Corp of Erie County, Board member of the Greater Erie Industrial Development Corp, Treasurer of the EIDCO; he is a team leader on the Mayor’s Advisory Committee and Chair’s the major fundraiser annually for the Gertrude A Barber National Institute.
